Over the past 20 years, Cornerstone has supported and run many activities to empower people to be all they are called to be and to provide opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. We also reach out to those within our family and beyond who are in need of pastoral care, and support a range of organisations that have links to those in our church such as the Military Christian Fellowship (MCF) and Gungahlin Youth Group.
Cornerstone gives 10 per cent of its budget to missions. Cornerstone’s mission focus is coordinated through our eldership. Over the past few years we have financially and physically supported local, national and international ministries.
Cornerstone operates a range of dynamics internal ministries and, where relevant, shares our resources with the broader church in Canberra.
We hold a number of small groups in people’s homes at different times throughout the week. Small groups vary from group to group and are a great opportunity to get to know individuals in the church and have some deeper discussion. Some groups cater for families, while others cater for new Christians, youth and young adults.
Cornerstone is passionate about supporting its church family members and people in need within the community. This support can take a number of forms including personal visits, care packages and financial support where needed.
We have a number of musicians dedicated to serving Cornerstone through the Praise and Worship Ministry. Our teams are diverse with young people and adults participating and leading in this ministry according to their gifts and abilities.
Cornerstone is passionate about children and throughout the school terms run Kids Church and Mini Kids during our Sunday service, catering for children in crèche through to Year 6.
